Welcome to 10th Planet Bastrop! My name is Gabe Tuttle and I am a first degree black belt under Richie "Boogeyman" Martinez with over a decade of teaching experience.
My jiu jitsu journey started in San Diego training at a couple different local schools before settling in with Richie and Geo Martinez in 2015 when 10th Planet San Diego opened up. I am very proud to be the school's first homegrown black belt; especially being promoted under Richie and Geo who are two of 10th Planet's most renowned and celebrated individuals. I spent several years teaching at 10th Planet San Diego and helping to develop one of the most decorated schools in the affiliation.
After achieving my black belt I moved to Austin, Texas in 2020 where I would eventually take on the head instructor role at 10th Planet Austin. It was a pleasure to help build the army that is now 10PATX but the time has come to establish and cultivate my own school from the ground up. I am looking forward to meeting those of you who want to join me on the adventure!
About 1oth Planet Jiu Jitsu
10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu is a non-traditional system of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu developed by Eddie Bravo. It focuses exclusively on no-gi techniques, with an emphasis on using leverage and technical skill rather than strength.
Known for its innovative approach to the guard position and submission attacks, the 10th Planet system has proven effective in both sport grappling and MMA contexts.
